Drawn to Clay: sfclayworks Celebrates Its Community of Makers
sfclayworks recently hosted a community exhibit in the front office gallery on July 10th.
Every year, sfclayworks, the cooperative ceramics studio tucked into San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood, holds its Annual Student and Community Member Exhibition. This year carried the theme “Drawn to Clay,” inviting studio members to showcase their process from the first sketch to the finished clay art.
The show gave studio artists a chance to offer a unique glimpse into each artist’s process. The exhibition was open to studio members, who participated and expressed their personalities through each of their exhibits.
“Drawn to Clay” was staged alongside SF Open Studios, the city’s oldest and largest open-studio event, which invites the public to participate in working artists’ spaces across San Francisco’s neighborhoods.
